Into the Realm of Keats

DSC02029By this sonnet I spend my debt
for never has the worst of the world
troubled me. I have never suffered forlorn.
I have tasted the first fair day of summers bower
and once found the sky filled with eagles.

Now I know these things to be mere.

A shallow shadow is all this world can offer me
since I have stood in the presence
of your voice and your carry.
This brings my heart closer to its purpose
leading to lines of thought that shake my soul.

Would I match the beauty of your resolve
the stars would learn of gentleness
and the hummingbird, of wonder.
